Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comJust put my 4 foot tall grapefruit tree in the ground. I live in SW Florida and I was wondering how much and how often I should give it water in the beginning? Also, I have an irrigation system that waters 40 minutes each section of property twice per week.

For a newly planted tree, I would recommend watering daily for at least 2 weeks. It is very difficult to overwater a newly planted tree and they need a significant amount of water to become established well. This article will help:
