Q.Just Planted A Redbud Flamethrower Tree, Leaves On Some Branches Already Brown And Dripping Off, Will It Revive Next Spring

When purchased top half of tree was damaged, Gardner said from drought, so he cut the top half of tree off.

It likely is in shock from the transplanting and also the pruning. You can scratch off some bark to see if it is still alive. If it is green underneath it is still alive. Continue to water well about every third day. Here is more on its care.
