Just cut overgrown lawn

Should I use lawn feed on it very dried up and sad looking, totally new to any form of gardening!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It looks like it needs water more than anything else. I would get it started on a water schedule at least until it recovers its green. A weed and feed fertilizer will also help keep unwanted weeds at bay while the lawn recovers.
