Q.Just bought some new indoor plants and I’m wanting to know how to care for them properly.
I’ve just bought an indoor dwarf banana plant, an indoor coffee plant, an indoor Mexican palm plant and an indoor golden palm plant. Each plant is in a pot around 4.5 inches deep and wide. The banana plant has some dark discolouration on a few of the leaves and two leaves have turned/wilted. The other plants seem to be doing fine. I’m just wanting to know how to help my banana plant mostly. Also as it’s spring, I’m wanting to know what size pots, what soil and what fertiliser I’ll need for each plant. As I’m hoping to repot them soon. Thanks

Start with and establish ongoing good water management; deep water the banana immediately.
Then start the re-potting process:

Re-pot the banana first, into a 10 to 12 inch pot. Where the article says to use compost, use a potting soil blend like this:

Follow up with re-potting the other plants in slightly larger containers, with good drainage holes and saucers underneath.
Use a complete organic fertilizer like this:

Get a good watering program going, not too much or too little.
