June bugs are beetles in the scarab family, and they usually attack ripe or nearly ripe fruit. The best way to control them is to use physical barriers, such as anti-insect row cover over the entire tree or fruit bags over each fruit. You could also try building a trap. This article describes these and other methods to prevent beetle attacks in fruit trees:

Insecticides can be useful to control June bugs in other parts of the garden, but be sure not to use them on edible fruit unless the label says specifically you can do this.
