jubilation gardenia

Two of these plants were acquired last summer. They have never bloomed but the foliage stayed very healthy all through the winter. Lately, the foliage on both is beginning to look very unhealthy and no signs of blooms forming. Any ideas what may be going on?

Can you be a little more specific about what is not healthy about the leaves of your gardenias? What do they look like? I’m not sure if you tried to post any photos, but I’m also not sure if this site allows for that. Gardenias require full sun in order to flower. If you have them growing in a shaded area or on the northern side of your house or other structure, they will most likely not bloom.
