Q.Japanese Lanterns

Zone 11953 | joanp added on August 16, 2017 | Answered

I have been trying to grow Japanese lanterns for years now. I live in zone 7 [Long Island]
and face north. I tried seed from plants dried as well as fresh. Seed packets from various
seed manufactures. And they either don’t grow at all or they come up as something else.
So far this year I have the leaves growing about a foot tall. No lanterns yet. They are in a pot on my deck. What can I do?
Thank you,
Joan Prato
