Q.Japanese Ardisia

Zone 70729 | lennymeadows added on February 17, 2018 | Answered

I live in southern Louisiana and we had some snow (very unusual) and low temperatures. Needless to say all of my Japenese Ardisia burned up. I have cut it back. My question will it come back or will I have to replant.

I would have waited to cut the dead growth until the warmer weather returns. It is up to time, now, to see whether the plant makes it. If you don't see new growth within a few weeks, then you can assume that it has died.
