It is very difficult to germinate a seed from the Japanese Plum.
If it does grow, it will not be true to seed. It will be different then the parent plant.
After 3 months of cold stratification in the refrigerator you can plant in a pot, plant several to up the odds.
It can take up to 18 months to germinate.
