Q.Jade plant water

Zone Ga | rjirvine added on March 30, 2015 | Answered

For a Jade plant, should you use a saucer under the pot to hold water? The outside saucer under the pot is holding water. Will this cause over watering?

If you are seeing water in the saucer under a pot this is a good indication that your plant is being over-watered. You can further verify this by touching the top of the soil to see if it's damp/soggy. You will want to empty that saucer of the water. If the plant pot sits in that saucer for too long it could cause root rot.
