Q.Jade Plants

Zone Paradise | nanajune10 added on December 6, 2016 | Answered

I have two jade plants outside in big pots. They are doing great. My question is, are they ok to stay out in the yard in 30-40 degree nighttime temperatures? I live in Northern California, Paradise to be exact. Thank you, J Pitcock.

Yes, jade plants can tolerate brief temperature drops down to 30 degrees. However, if the temperature is going to be 30-35 regularly or for a long period of time, it would be safer to bring it indoors. Below 30 degrees, the plants will be damaged or die.
