Q.jade plant that has falled over with no root left

Zone Santa Cruz Mountains - Zone 9?? in the redwoods | Divaofwoods added on December 10, 2017 | Answered

Hi, my 2′ tall jade plant has been in my yard in the redwoods for 8 years and looked beautiful until today. It had gotten taller and had many branches. All of a sudden today I saw it had fallen over and when I got closer, I saw that it had broken off, away from the roots which are still in the ground, and what I have has no roots. How can I save this beautiful plant? The stalk of the plant is a 3′ diameter.

Any help you can give is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dee Woodward

You only option here might be to take the plant apart into multiple plants. This article will help you to take cuttings from this: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/jade-plant/propagating-jade-plants.htm
