jade plant dying

I believe that our jade plant got too much water, as the leaves are turning black and falling off. Is there a way to save it?

Yes, your jade plant is probably overwatered. You can try carefully removing the plant, soil and all, from the pot and exposing the soil to air for a few days until it dries out. Then you can return it to the pot, and if possible you can replace at least some of the soil it’s in with a potting soil intended for succulents and desert plants. These mixes hold less water.
