Q.Jade plant

Zone Fredonia, NY | jtaft added on February 4, 2017 | Answered

The leaves on my jade plant seem soft, quite pliable. I inherited this beautiful plant and don’t know if it is still healthy. This is an indoor plant, but it used to be on a porch that got quite cool. We do not have any place that would not completely freeze. Is it sick?

Jade plants can take temperatures down to 45 degrees F, is the soil is dry. Wet soil could be more of an issue since this does not protect the roots from the cold.
Underwatering or overwatering could be the cause of your Jade Plant being limp.
