Jade plant

I bought a house with a larger jade plant. The branches were hanging down and the jade was being weighed down. I was arranging the smaller branches to make it look taller and some snapped off. So I snapped a few more off at the ring marks in the branch. My question is will that affect the plant and cause shock? I realized after I should have cut the branches, or will it matter? I’m not seen jades this large. I attached a photo of before and then the plant clippings I took off.

Pruning an overgrown or leggy Jade plant will help it’s overall health.
