Jade Plant

How can I help support a Jade plant? It seems healthy, but the branches are soft and tend to droop more than they should. It is an indoor plant and about 3 years old. Its branches are end-heavy and droop, plus the farther out on the tip of the branch it gets softer. I have a few sticks in the pot to help keep some of them up but am getting worried that one of the few main branches will break off. Any suggestions? Thanks.

First I would try giving the plant more light. Jade do well in a bright and filtered sunlight.
You can prune the plant to give it some overall health.
Regular pruning will help the plant grow a thicker main trunk to support this top heavy plant.
Prune the plant back to a lateral bud or branch but not into it, do not leave stubs.
Cuts should heal in a few days and new growth should appear in a couple of weeks.
Do not remove more then 25 to 30 percent of the plant in one pruning.
To keep it compact you can pinch the terminal ends regularly.
Spring is a good time to repot, and use a good quality potting soil.
Allow the soil to dry between waterings.
