Jade has weak stem

Jade has weak stem and looks like roots are growing off the stems all the way up. It cannot support itself at all. Do you have any tips or insight to what this could be?

It’s normal to see what looks like roots growing out of various places on a Jade plant. Depending on where they’re growing from and how much you feel like “pruning” the plant, you take a cutting off of that stem and use it to create another plant.

Now, the part about your plant “leaning.” That’s more of a concern. Most of the time this is an early sign of a plant beginning to die, but you can quickly reverse it by cutting back on the water. Jade plants “rest” in the winter and require hardly any water. It sounds like yours may need less water and possibly repotting.
