Ivy plant

We just received an ivy as a gift and it’s in a plastic pot with no drainage whatsoever. Should we repot to something porous like clay or something with drainage holes?

You will definitely want to plant this in something with drain holes. Without drainage it is likely that the plant will suffer from root rot. This article will give you more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/boston-ivy/growing-boston-ivy.htm [1]
