Q.Peony plants

Zone Denver, CO | Anonymous added on July 10, 2016 | Answered

I’ve had Peony plants for 3 years and have never had a bud. What is happening? My leaves grow very green and abundant but start to turn brown in the middle of the summer. What should I be doing or what should I not be doing?

Peonies can take several years to began to produce blossoms.
You also may have to much Nitrogen in the soil and a Phosphorous deficiency.
Bone Meal can be applied to correct this and promote buds and flowers in the spring.
