Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have been made aware that the white ball in my sago palm is part of it’s reproduction process. Now I find there are orange “cushion” looking parts beginning to show. I would like to know if that is part of the normal cycle? Since I live in Southern Calif I don’t expect snow or very low temperatures. Do I need to be concerned about the plant? Should there be new growth in the spring?
Thanks in advance for your time to respond.

Yes, that sounds like the normal female parts. Sago palms are slow growing but if months go by and you don't have new growth, check the articles below to see if you are meeting its cultural needs.
