Q.It Might Be Dying

Anonymous added on September 9, 2013 | Answered

Ok, so we got my Mom’s tree when she passed away. We had to repot it because her dog was peeing in it. We did that and now it looks really bad; the leaves are falling off. We washed the roots, so we don’t know if too much air got to them or what. Please help. I don’t want to lose my Mom’s tree. She had it for almost 25 years.

Assuming this is a weeping fig, ficus benjamina, leaf drop is a fact of life. They drop leaves when any change is done. Even moving from one side of a room to another. If it isn't a weeping fig, I'd be able to make a better guess if I knew: What type plant is this? How big is it?
What size pot was it in? What size pot did you plant into?
What type soil did you use?
Have you fertilized? According to directions?
How much and how often have you watered?
How much light does it get? Is it inside or outside?
