Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI was given a potted plant that was described by the giver as a flowering sweet potato vine. It does, indeed, have pretty purple flowers. Is this the same as the sweet potato vine whose care your site described? If so, what kind of light do you suggest? Thank you.

Without a photograph it would be hard for me to definitively say whether or not your plant was one and the same as the one pictured on the website. However, to aid in your identification, I can tell you that the flowers produced on both ornamental and edible sweet potatoes have a trumpet shape and may be pale pink or purple in color.
Sweet potato vines enjoy a bright, sunny location indoors and out.
