Q.Is this plant a type of grass? And how tall will it get?
These were planted in front of our house. We requested dwarf plants that are evergreen. So, I am concerned about the height these plant can grow.
BTW, I have really appreciated the help I have received in the past. This is a wonderful helpful site.

It is, certainly, a type of grass. The way that it grows looks like, maybe, dwarf bamboo, or some similar cane type grass. It will be very hard to tell many grasses apart. One thing is for certain... You can safely prune these to your desired height with no damage to the plant. Grasses, no matter the type, tend to be pretty resilient to pruning, unless it is some specialty grass that is known to be finicky.
Keep track of its growth, and send in more pics once it is larger, and/or flowers! This can help me to get a more accurate ID.
