Q.Is There One Rooting Hormone That Works Better Than Others?

I have cuttings from my pomegranate that I would really like to grow because I gave the mother plant to a friend.

Yes. IBA, or Indole-3-butyric acid, will be the most effective rooting hormone. The gel tends to have better results than powder.

Some less effective but fully natural methods will be things like cinnamon powder, honey, and willow tea. They do work, but not as fast or effectively.
