Q.Is There Any Good Reason For This?
Hi I go to a university and they have done lots of tree and landscaping pruning over the past few weeks. They’ve done this to a lot of the plants on campus, where they were normal size and they removed most of the plant. Is there a reason for it?

I can't think of any unless the plants were diseased and they needed to be cut back. They may come along later and remove the stumps if the whole plant needs to come out. Sometimes if a plant is overgrown it can be cut to the ground to rejuvenate it. The ones pictured look like the stumps need to be removed.
