Apples give off methane gas which can hasten bud/bloom initiation and the ripening of fruit in plants. To that extent, spraying tomatoes with apple juice might, could, may, possibly have a tiny, negligible small, almost non-existent effect of the setting or ripening of fruit. When methane is used both commercially and by the home-owner, it’s in a closed environment. IMO, it probably won’t do much good, but it won’t hurt either!
