Is pussy willow native to the USA?

I’d like to provide pollen for early bees, but don’t have room for a big willow tree, such as a black willow, in my yard. I like pussy willow, but also want to plant as much “native” as possible.
Thanks!

Pussy willow is native to many areas of the US including Missouri. It does best in damp, even wet soil. There are several internet sites where one can check native status of plants. Two are plants.USDA.gov and Wildflower.org. The second has lists of native plants for each state and a searchable database for various growing conditions. The site is not all-inclusive; it targets plants that are appropriate for home gardens.
