Is it safe to eat zucchini that has bumps?

Some of my zucchini have bumps that almost look like warts on them. I read that the plant may have a virus. Are they safe to consume?

The viruses that infect plants are not able to infect humans, so that if the zucchini tastes all right, you should be able to eat them. Learn more about dealing with the disease in the future: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/zucchini/bumps-on-zucchini.htm [1]
