Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI love peonies but there is so much conflicting information on the internet about whether to do so or no
t in our area. Advice also varies from “Plant in dappled shade” to “Must have full sun.” It’s a fairly expensive plant to landscape with in numbers so I am asking before I waste my time, money and kill a nice plant.
Thank you for sharing your time and expertise with me.

Most peonies will need full sun for at least 6 hours per day. They can tolerate dappled shade for some of the day, but they won't flower as well this way and the stems will likely fall over with the weight of the flower heads. You are in their growing zone so I don't know why you couldn't grow them as long as you provide their cultural conditions.
