Q.Is it possible to have a peach stem growing out next to peach tree?

Zone 11355 | aj.libertytax added on April 17, 2017 | Answered

I bought a peach tree from home depot. After a month from purchase, I realize there is a stem growing out next to the peach tree. Is that even possible? What should I do?

Please advise.
