Q.Is It Normal For Fiddle Leaf Fig To Put Out 2 Leaves Simultaneously
I bought a pot of Fiddle Leaf Fig with two plants in it about 3 weeks ago. Watered it thoroughly that day and again 10 days later when top inch of soil felt dry. It is next to a south facing window with very sheer curtains and gets 5 hours of filtered light, room is bright the rest of the day. It is very dry here in NV so I had been misting 3 to 4 times a day. One plant put out a new leaf a week ago, it is still growing and will be bigger than the previous leaf. The second Plant just started putting out two new leaves, bigger one is facing same direction (wrong) as the previous leaf. When I got the pot, this plant’s latest leaf was smaller than the prior leaf. Is it normal for the FLF to put out two new leaves simultaneously? My sister and SIL also are seeing two leaves appearing from their plants although they live miles away and have diff environments. Am I not providing enough sunlight? First picture shows two simultaneous new leaves. Second picture shows new leaf from the other plant (same pot), looks healthy to me but not firming completely yet.

Sure! This is a sign that it is healthy, and enjoys where it was placed. They are known to be slow growers, so a boost in growth would indicate that you are caring for it as it should be.
