Is Fencing Needed to Keep Out Animals

I am a few hours north of Toronto witha small plot near a swampy part of a lake. What fencing is needed? There are deer, bears, raccoons and beavers, and all their friends hanging around.

Fencing is not always necessary but can help if these animals have become a problem. Most fencing should be at least 6-8 ft tall with an electric strand on top. Also, burying the fence about a foot or so underground will help keep out animals prone to digging.
