Q.Is early april too late to prune crepe myrtles?
I would like to know if it’s ok to prune crepe myrtles in early april.

Crepe myrtles bloom on new growth, so prune them in late winter or early spring before they break dormancy in order to ensure the best summer blooms. Late winter or early spring is an ideal time because the tree is leafless and you can easily see all the branches. You can prune now in early April, but be careful to cut only those branches that do not yet show new growth or you will compromise your summer flower production.
