Is a Yucca a Sun or Shade Plant?

I got a Yucca plant for my bridal shower a few weeks ago and I just don’t have enough room for it indoors. I would like to plant it outside but I need to know if it will survive a Nebraska winter and whether it is a sun or shade plant.

They are sun plants, but whether it will survive outside or not depends on the type of yucca it is. If it was given to you with the intention that it be a houseplant, it likely is not suited for your winters and needs to stay indoors.
