Irish Moss Seed Vs Plugs

Question

I want to cover a zen garden area and between stepping stones with Irish Moss, approximately 300 square feet. Do I have to purchase Plugs from flats or small containers or is planting with seed very successful? thanks, Wayne

Moss does not make seeds. They make spores, much like a mushroom! With this being said, moss spore slurry is the fastest, most effective, way to spread it.
