Q.Iris Bulb Storage

Zone Massachusettes | tygger76@comcast.net added on September 7, 2015 | Answered

My landlord had the yard re-graded before I could dig up my plants. I was able to find a bunch of my Iris bulbs. With the re-grade and what he wants to do, there isn’t really any place I can plant them now. We are planning on moving soon so I want to take them with me. Would I just cut off the remaining leaves and could I store them in cardboard egg crates until I can replant them? Is there anything else I should do in the meantime with them? Thank you so much for your help.
