Q.Inside Bamboo Plants

Anonymous added on March 16, 2014 | Answered

I have several Bamboo plants in my kitchen window in vases and a glass or two. They do not get a lot of sun since it’s been raining so long where I live. Had them a while now and they are turning yellow. Every bit of the plant. With very little green still on the plant. They’re all doing the same so must be same reason. Maybe not enough sun? And I keep them in full fresh water, though I don’t put new fresh water in the containers, just add water when getting a little low. And my house is usually only kept around 60-62 degrees. Could they not be warm enough?

It is likely the light. You can give them more light by placing a fluorescent bulb near them. Just to be on the safe side, change their water completely and add just a drop or two of water soluble fertilizer.
