Info on Patchouli Plant care Please?!

I have had two Patchouli plants (at different times), and they both died. 🙁 I tried different things with them; more light/less light, good soil/not-so-great soil; well watered/let it dry out. Nothing worked. What do Patchouli plants like?
(I didn’t include a picture because I’m sure everybody knows what a dead plant looks like 🙁 So sad….)
