Infestation of Midge-Type Flies on Indoor Plants

I have several indoor plants in a room in my house – indoor roses, parlor palms, peace lily and yucca plant. Recently, in the morning I have noticed a number of small dead midge-like flies on the floor of the room. I have treated the plants with a “bug off” spray. I have sprayed the soil with Jeyes Fluid, but nothing seems to get rid of the flies. Is there anything else I can use?

It sounds like you have fungus gnats. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/children/fungus-gnats.htm [1] Neem oil will help take care of these pests but will not hurt the plants.
