indoor gardenia

You state in your article about growing gardenias indoors that they like the temp to be 55 during the day and 64 at night. How do you do that and have them in a sunny spot in the house? If I put it in a sunny spot, it will be much hotter than 55 degrees during the day. I have recently received a gardenia as a gift and it has had blossoms on it but the just wither and fall off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is the correct temperatures for an indoor Gardenia plants optimum growth.
Cool temperatures, high humidity and sunshine. It is difficult to create this environment, but find the coolest, sunny spot you have. A tray of pebbles with water can help with humidity and misting.
