Indoor flowering plant needs help

Question

I don’t know the name of my plant,but it’s my only one, a gift from 10+yrs ago. Not sure if it can be saved but I must try.
I transplanted it 9?months ago into a larger pot with no draining holes. It was doing good for quite awhile. Then the soil got low & I had none. The roots/stems above the soil started to die. They got hard, brittle with new growth on the ends.
Covered them with dried, no caffeine tea leaves. More new growth. Even flowered for the first time since I moved here 2yrs ago. But stems are still dead. The new growth started to go limp & when I removed the dead leaves, the new growth came right off the dead stems/roots above the soil. I’ve been making little holes to put the new growth in, but it’s not enough. I’m losing my plant.
Also keep cutting off the dead stuff, as the new growth falls off. The new growth falls off @the lightest movement.I try to water under the leaves,then spray them.I can only think it’s the pot.
No rocks or draining. But can it be saved? Please, please,please.I hope you can tell me.
