bird of paradise turning yellow

We have had this indoor Bird of Paradise for ten years in the Washington DC area. For the past 7 years, it has been in the location shown in the picture where it gets light but not a lot of sun. We recently changed out the soil and put in new Miracle Grow potting soil and moved the plant into a sunroom on the southwest of the house. The temperature out in the sunroom is not controlled, as it is in the house, so we thought that it would like the warmer temps and humidity; but within a couple of weeks, it looks like this. Can it be saved?

Yellowing leaves can indicate a watering issue, either to much or to little.

Also the stress of repotting and a change in light and temperatures has likely added to it’s stress.
Bird Of Paradise to prefer to be root bound and are quite happy in the same pot for several years.
