Indoor bird of paradise brown spots

I’ve had my indoor bird of paradise for six months and in the last couple weeks small brown spots have started to appear on its leaves. The spots are in line across the leaves or near the base of a leaf. Any advice on what could be causing this?
Thanks

This looks like a fungal infection setting in. It is best to let the soil dry out slightly between waterings. Usually, over-watering is the usual culprit here.

Put wettable sulfur into the soil, and this will help kill off the infection. Also, you may want to make sure that it get bright but not direct light.
