Q.In Propagating Elderberry Do You Pinch Off The New Growth To Better Develop Roots In The First 12 Weeks

I had some canes had some incredible growth on them in about six weeks into it these branches they died off

You don't need to pinch off any new growth. Softwood cuttings would work best, taken in spring. Also be sure to change the water at least once a week.
