Q.Impact From Frost
Live in NJ and have a potted Brown Turkey Fig Tree. It has provide figs the past two years. This spring we had a surprise frost and all the leaves fell off of the tree. New leaves started but the entire tree then lost it’s leaves. In the past few weeks the tree has sprouted a surprising amount of healthy leaves on the lower portion of the tree. Question: should I cut off the top part of the tree and where should I make the cut?

This can happen with unusually cool weather. Cut off any growth that is completely dead. It will be very clear what is alive and what is not.
Anything living, now, will take over.
