I’m thinking of putting in a Blue Grama lawn

I live in Los Angeles and want to know what it looks like when dormant. Does this type of lawn require any special treatment? How often do you mow and water once established?

The articles say "minimal mowing and watering." This is probably dependent on growing conditions, but my guess is mowing every 3 -4 weeks, and water, after initial establishing, dependent on precipitation, something like 3/4" per week. There are different varieties that are more or less drought resistant, and grow more or less slowly.
