Q.If I Use Sedum As A Ground Cover Instead Of Mulch, How Will This Affect The Surrounding Plants?
I use sedum In place of mulch in my front garden. It gives the garden a whimsical look. I try to pull out the sedum from around the day lilies and knockout roses. If I don’t clear them from around the plants would this hinder the growth of those plants?

It would likely hinder the daylilies from spreading but wouldn't affect the roses as much. It could cause a competition for nutrients and water though. I think you are wise to keep them pulled back from right around the roses and daylilies.
