Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comIf I prune my smoke trees as bushes, does this mean that they will not flower in the spring? Our smoke trees are quite tall and we want to prune them back. We don’t want to lose the flowers though. They are about 5-10 years old with a couple being a few years younger. We’ve never really pruned them seriously.

Pruning can help you maintain a more compact look to your Smoke Tree.
You should prune in early spring or fall to reduce stress to your plant.
