if a sago palm gets burnt from cold, is it dead?

Most of my sagos have been affected by the cold and my friend told me that they are gone if that happens.

They can survive if the roots did not freeze, but they will likely never recover the same look they had before. Some people choose to replace them after a freeze for this reason, even though they do survive.

If you plan on trying to keep it, in the spring, cut away any brown or yellow fronds. Give it a light fertilizer. You should see regrowth by the end of spring/
