Q.Identifying vine

Zone 36752 | Anonymous added on September 8, 2018 | Answered

I live in lowndesboro, al and within the past couple of weeks a vine started covering my fenced dog yard. I am trying to see if this vine can harm my little poms and yorkies. It has little purple berries

It is best that dogs do not nibble on the plants, and that one appears to be kudzu. It is very invasive and will spread. Here is an article for ridding the plant: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/weeds/kudzu-information-and-removal.htm
